Jun arrived back at the hospital dressed as a Jounin. He was getting hot in his uniform and he was off duty now anyways but he still had to get the report done. Going to Mitsuko's room he knocked. "This is a Jounin here to write up Mugon's report." He said before entering. Looking around the room so it wouldn't appear that he knew exactly which bed was Mitsuko he found the chart and nodded. The boy would be fine. They'd gotten to his injuries soon enough that he wouldn't suffer any long term damage.
Looking up at Mitsuko he maintained his serious face. "My name is Jun Li. The ANBU who dropped you off had to resume his patrol so he asked me to do the report for him. I'm gonna need your side of the events of what happened then I'll ask the other young man. I will not put up with blame throwing I simply want the events. You may begin."
'I hate writing reports. So dull, but it has to be done and given to the boss so she can decide the punishment. Though in this case it'll probably come out of his pay for the next couple missions. That's her decision.' Jun thought as he wrote down his reccomended punishments for each of them in the designated box under the guise of writing down their name, age, sex, and rank.

Well, maybe the whole thing wasn't over. Mitsuko figured that the ANBU would just go write his report and that would the end of it. No more talking, no more explanations, and he could just relax and prepare for the tongue lashing he would receive from his father and the lecture his mother would give him. And as he saw the jounin come in after the knock at the door, he let out a huge sigh of irritation. God damn it. This is one hell of an unlucky day. He watched the Jounin walk in, and he knew write away it was about his little incident.
Mitsuko half glared at the man as he stared down at the chart, but softened his look as the jounin looked up towards him with a serious expression. He figured it was strange that the ANBU had not returned to finish up the report. Whatever, he was more than happy to be rid of the man. "Rai approached me, insulted my clan, and challenged me. We went outside, and I beat him. I received three minor cuts on my hand and sides. I think he's got a concussion, or something."
He sighed again, leaving the fight as vague and blunt as possible. Mitsuko peaked over the man's shoulder at Rai, who was looking curiously at the two of them. He then moved his eyes to the paper that Jun Li was writing on. He was rather curious about what thhe report would say, but he didn't try to look at it. He just wanted to get this whole thing over with as soon as possible. "Do you need anything else?" He said bluntly, trying to hurry the process along.

Jun rolled his eyes. If he didn't know more or less what had happened already that would have been nearly useless information. Inwardly sighing he nodded and walked over to the other boy. "My name is Jun Li, I'm the one writing up the report on this breach of protocol. Tell me exactly what happened, if you start throwing blame I WILL make sure you get a mark on your record instead of just a slap on the wrist. Speak," he said. He added the extra threat though he couldn't do much about that because he felt this one was more likely to try throwing blame.
'Couldn't Mitsuko have given me a bit more information. If this kid doesn't I won't be able to show as much detail as I know about without it being suspicious. Then again I can always claim I talked to myself in the report. That'd be kinda funny for anyone who knows my identity. Hrm... Judging by what I know Rai here wasn't doing too bad, he wounded Mitsuko several times though minor a wound is a wound. Mitsuko went overboard and used a C-Class jutsu to take him out of the equation not realizing he'd be in trouble for doing so. Rai was rushed here by concerned classmates and I found Mitsuko. I did a test to see how he would react to being surrounded and arrested and he essentially told me it wasn't any of my buisness. I feel sorry for this kid's sensei.' He thought and zoned back in.
'Personally, they both need to be put on probation but as Jun I cannot reccomend that without the political fallout from Mitsuko's clan hitting me. As an ANBU I'm protected by my anonymity. As a Jounin I'm exposed to public scrutiny and politics can cause the village to get less missions so at least Mitsuko won't be put on probation... well not officially. I will be keeping an eye on him when I'm in the village. Rai on the other hand... probably won't be accepted by his sensei as a genin unless he shows he can handle the responsibility during the test. I don't know if I want them to pass or fail,' he thought as Rai opened his mouth to speak.

Mitsuko watched the man leave his room and head over to Rai's without a word. Great. As it turned out, he was kinda tired. He would definitely get a nap as soon as he could. The beds were surprisingly comfortable, or perhaps that was just the relief he felt after the Jounin had left. As he closed his eyes, the genin heard Rai's loud and obnoxious voice from across the hall. "Alright alright! Take it easy there, Mr. Jounin!" He said in his usual expressive and and loud voice. "I'll tell you exactly how it all went down!"
"You see, Mr. High and Mighty over there..." He sat up a bit more, and pointed at Mitsuko in an animated fashion. "Was being all cool and superior and hittin' on my girl and stuff. So I says to my buds 'Hey, would ya look at that Mitsuko kid! Somebody oughta knock 'em down a few.'" Rai explained, trying his best to sound cool and tough, seemingly for nobody but himself. "So I walked over to 'em, and I said 'Hey, you better lay off the tough guy act.' And he says to me, 'I'll take you on anytime, punk.'"
Mitsuko just stared at Rai as he explained his side of the story. He could hardly contain himself from laughing. "So anyway, we fought, and I roughed him up a bit. Then he pulled some funny water jutsu and knocked me into a tree. I wasn't paying attention, so that's why he got me." Rai nodded, confirming the story with himself. "Yup, that's what happened. One-hundred percent truth, not like what that Subeki punk probably told you." Mitsuko sighed the whole thing off, and calmly rested in his bed. This time, for sure, the whole thing was done.

Writing up his report based on the added details he was given Jun filtered out all the useless jabber. 'Wow that boy can talk,' He thought as he moved out of the hospital room into the bleach smelling hallways. 'God I hate this place. Always always smells like bleach' He thought as he moved out of the hospital and walked back towards the tower. He didn't feel like roof jumping and wanted to take his time.
Jun put the finishing touches on his report as he entered the Tower. Moving to the Report desk he handed in his report and turned to head home. 'I hope to god they don't find a reason to get me back on duty. That would just suck.' He thought as he left the tower. Wanting to get home as fast as possible this time he DID roof jump and arrived at home within minutes due to proximity and speed. Upon reaching his bedroom he smiled in relief and without undressing fell forward onto his bed.
*Finished*

Mitsuko Subeki- I thought your reaction to being surrounded by Jun’s clones was a tad out of place. I understand that you wanted to emphasize the fact that Mitsuko wishes to look cool, calm, and collected and all, but most Genin when encountered with a powerful Jounin-level shinobi would be petrified in this situation. When Sasuke first encounters Zabuza, he is quoted as saying that the chi is so incredibly powerful that he would “almost rather die now and get it over with”. Considering Jun is Jounin-level at least, as he is an ANBU, I’d expect Mitsuko to have been at least afraid enough to show some outward sign, whether a quivering of his voice, or being temporarily paralyzed by fear. Just keep that in mind for next time, it’s not that big of a deal.
- It sometimes felt as though you were overplaying Mitsuko’s desire to seem cool. It’s a defining character trait of his, and definitely something to keep track of (perhaps that cool points counter we joked about), but it seemed like every post toward the beginning was him trying to decide what course of action would make him look most cool. Toward the beginning, everyone overplays character aspects, so it’s not a huge problem, just perhaps space it out and be a little more subtle, and only go full out with it when you want to be comical, or for another good reason.
Jun Li- We’d like it if you wouldn’t assume things about the lifestyle of an ANBU and such, and automatically create laws to suit your posts. Even though we’ve never specifically outlined exactly what the role of the Mizukage is in the day to day workings of the Hidden Mist Village, it is safe to assume that she isn’t involved in every single decision about the misbehaving of a Genin. When Naruto painted the Hokage monument, which was a larger act of insubordination than a simple brawl between two Genin, it was his Chuunin instructor Iruka that told him to come down, disciplined him, and then attempted to teach him a lesson. The kage of each village has larger things to worry about than a couple Genin, unless they’re a large threat to the village for any reason, or are a complete special case. Along with this, talking about how the ANBU’s pay is the only good thing about their lifestyle, and that they overwork their shinobi and such isn’t really something any shinobi would complain about. For the most part, ninja are proud of their occupation, and wish to uphold the honor of their village properly. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have spent their lives attempting to hone their skills. Along with this, Jun wouldn’t want to discourage the boy’s quest for promotion to a high level, because that would only mean the village has more powerful ninja at their disposal. I understand what you told me your ANBU was trying to do, but you need to express it better, and there needs to be a better reason than “he was being arrogant.” One boy’s arrogance does not outweigh the good of the village.
- Your personality doesn’t truly match what Jun is saying in the post, as he seems to be promoting slacking off, whereas you state in his personality that he is incredibly strict to the point of being something of a drill sergeant. You told me out of character that he was attempting to discourage Mitsuko, but there’s no really good reason for this, and if that’s what you want to convey, please make sure you state it in the posts so we all know, because otherwise his intentions are completely clouded with us knowing his actions but not his intent.
___________________________________________________ That’s the only big things I have to say. Normally I’d say that the situation between these two Genin is too trivial for an ANBU to be attending, but I realize that you’re looking to RP, and that will be fine. Good job on this, and I’m happy to say this is the first successfully completed thread on Tale of the Tails.
