Makoto blinked, a bit dumbfounded by the interpretation of his sensei's wisdom. His brain managed to catch up in a few moments and he let out a light laugh. Still, if he grew strong enough to destory the forest wouldn't he destory what was in it? The power to take down all the trees...would it not obliterate animals as well? Makoto didn't think there would be anything left to see afterwards. Certainly no woman would survive. He shook his head. "It'd probably be better to master your steal skills if you wish to peek, Katetsu-san," he said lightheartedly. Makoto himself wasn't one for perverted nature, but it would probably be for the best if he tried to distract Shinzo's mindset away from destroying forests and the life it sustained within. Still, it was a bit disappointing that Shinzo didn't try to look deeper into the meaning. Simply searching for wisdom can allow a man to become a little wiser. Sometimes the destination wasn't as important as the path one took to get there.
Makoto stood and thought about Shinzo's question. When did he become a chuunin and how? He smiled and and answered, "I became a chuunin not too long ago actually. I didn't really think I was prepared, but Sensei insisted and I did pass..." he spoke trailing off. He also got distracted by the way the sun lit up the area around him. The area provided a really good spot to train. Solid terrain, a source of water, and a bit of vegitation along with a few rather large boulders. However, maybe it'd be best to refrain from training right at the moment. Makoto didn't really want to seem like a show off or anything. Maybe he should just go back to meditating...
Idly, he glanced at the genin once more. Maybe he'd like to spar? They were warmed up a bit. However, that'd still didn't sit right with Makoto. He didn't want to lord over the guy because of rank. His rank as chuunin would mean little anyway since he was on a team now. There was also the fact that Shinzo wouldn't be able to keep up with him. The guy had natural talent, that much was a given, but he lacked the experience and training that Makoto had. There was also the possibility that the others could show up at any moment and he didn't think they'd take the fact that two teammates were fighting too well.
"Maybe I can just go through forms?" He muttered the question to himself. "Going over basics never hurt anyone either..." Would that be considered under "showing off" though? Makoto stood, pondering over the choices laid out before him.

"hmm that pretty good"said Shinzo as he stood up and stretched."shinzo smiled at the though of him being a chunin with a army of lightning to call to his aid. Shinzo smile and said"so wat chunin skills did you learn" and sat down again to listen."or maybe you can show me I'm looking forward to new phrases to call when I'm doing them" he said no with twinkle in his eye.
(I'm mean the basic stuff BTW)

Makoto glanced around, seeking for an alternative. Shinzo had confidence and Makoto respected that, but he also seemed cocky. If you bend something too much it will without a doubt break. Shinzo probably wasn’t ready for a spar with Makoto. If Makoto handicapped himself then the genin might over estimate his skill. However, on the other hand, if Makoto went all out Shinzo might feel overwhelmed. Either way and Makoto could end up indirectly fueling the boy to strive toward unrealistic heights he couldn’t handle yet or make him wish to give up. Neither option sat well with him and both weight on his mind equally. "I don't really think a skirmish would be in our best interests, but it‘d be fun to trade phrases if you wish," he said calmly.
Makoto honestly thought that Shinzo would become a great fighter, but he needed guidance first. Guidance that Makoto wasn’t fit to give. Makoto could test the genin though. Would that cause any harm? Paralyze him with a simple technique. Though simple, chances are he wouldn’t be able to break it as he didn‘t seem to know himself well enough yet. Or he could walk out onto a nearby pond and tell him to attack. Without a sensei he surely hadn’t been introduced to more difficult chakra control methods. He could also trap him in a genjutsu. No, all of those would merely cause the exact same results that Makoto didn’t want to happen.
“Do you study any type of combat with a weapon, Katetsu-san?” Makoto asked seeking to change to subject. Makoto was here to learn from a new sensei and learn with others. If their sensei deemed it okay to spar then he would do so, but as of now he had no reason to accept. There wasn’t a reason to fight. “You seem very adept in taijutsu, have you considered learning kenjutsu from a sensei? It could help broaden your horizons.”

" Hmmm nope but that might help me"said Shinzo As he looked out to the forest trying to see the meaning of Makoto's saying. "But what weapon would be my strong suit" he said now looking at Makoto wondering where there sensai was.
Shinzo was happy he found some one guild him to his path as ninja. His sensai was good but this guy was around his age so he had a something to relate to. Shinzo was still amaze such a young person is wise and strong but he won't sa let Makoto know that.

"In the end the weapon is still a mere tool, only when you make it an extention of yourself does it become a weapon. It should fit you, Katetsu-san. You should pick it because in the end it is you who will learn to use it." More words from Makoto's sensei. In the old man's eyes, the weapon was the ninja and always would be. Anyone could wield a sword or a stick as they were tools, but they truely became weapons when a person used them with an intent to defend or kill. Then that intent was expanded upon to become the skill in which the weapon was used. Makoto could also remember his sensei speaking of many more ideals. However, many of them still escaped his understanding even now. Makoto would leave them unsaid. While his sensei's words were wise to his ears they would more than likely lose meaning if he repeated them without understanding their meaning.
Makoto glanced back to give the other boy a smile before realizing something. His hood was still on. Shinzo hadn't even seen his face yet, let alone a smile. He had simply forgotten to take it off because he just so used to wearing it. He calmly reached up and pushed it off of his head. A head of blond hair tied up in a pony tail was revealed. A soft brown eye focused on Shinzo and Makoto smiled before letting his eyes wander around the area some more. His hazel eye remained shadowed by a curtain of hair in front of his face.
"My our teammates are sure taking their time..." he mumbled. Patience was a weapon he had to remind himself.

"Hmmm a part of my self wat wpould be come part of me" said Shinzo as he pondered the idea."looks like i go a forest to see then"said Shinzo as he thought he might of got the phrase from earlyer.
Shinzo hadn't looked at Makoto until he said" i don't what taking them even i was able to figure your...huh?" shinzo took as he took in his teammate face. "So what was your old sensai like"said Shinzo as he seen the hair covering his eye and poney tail.

Makoto allowed a brief flicker of surprise to show on his face when Shinzo spoke. So he was looking deeper into the meaning after all. Makoto felt relieved and overjoyed by the insight that Shinzo displayed. It was nice to know that his sensei’s words would probably help Shinzo find his own path as well. Maybe he was underestimating the genin. Just because it may appear harmless didn’t mean that it was. “Never underestimate someone or you will always be surprised by the ability they show,” as his sensei put it. Makoto came to the realization that he could very well and possibly was entirely wrong about Shinzo.
He let out a sigh, glancing out at the mountains. The chuunin relished the feeling of being humbled. Seems his advance in rank had affected him after all. While so focused on not letting the title cage him he didn’t realize when it shackled him instead. Makoto was overestimating himself. Good think sensei wasn’t around or he would have been scolded. Or maybe sensei should have been here to humble him. Makoto did wish that he could have continued following under his guidance, but it wasn’t to be. “You’d have to meet him, Katetsu-san. I should introduce you sometime.”
Makoto could talk about his sensei all day. Praise his ability, speak of his wisdom, and even express his wishes to become like him. However, one who honors his teacher honors himself. Makoto didn’t want to be a braggart nor did he wish to hide in his sensei’s shadow. He had to walk his own path now and he had to walk it with his own two feet. His sensei had already shown him the way. “Would you still like to spar, Katetsu-san?”

Shinzo smile as he got up as he was ready to see where this fight lead. "ok I don't mind"Said Shinzo as he took fighting pose. a waind blew between them as they stared at each other.
Then Shinzo stop and asked"wait whats the rules" he said now getting out his pose and backing up. Shinzo had afeeling that he might win if not leave a good mark on him. But shinzo knew if he want to win he'll have let him use his moves first.

"Rules?" Makoto repeated as he considered a few variables that could make a difference. There weren't really any rules when it came to battle. They could both choose to handicap themselves in some form or simply use only a certain branch of fighting. However, this seemed rather technical. Makoto preferred to use what he had. One could find new ways for one technique to be used effectively if he didn't have another technique at their disposal though.
Makoto was torn on both choices. Yet, at the same time, he didn't really mind either. Maybe Shinzo had something in mind to even the playing field if he wished to do so. Something like a taijutsu only spar. He did seem a bit lacking in the ninjutsu and genjutsu area. Finally, he merely shrugged his shoulders and pulled his hood back over his head. He was up for ideas. "Do you have any in mind?"

As Sosuke traveled the mountains and would climb up the mountain face till he was on the top and stop and look to the two they two he was paired with in class. He would watch them and wonder what they were up to and thought for a moment he had not practice his genjutsu in a while and starts performing the seals for demonic illusion hell viewing technique. He was of course aiming for them both he was just interested in seeing what his teammates could do in a battle if they did not know if an attack happens to come from nowhere.
He would watch their reaction and to see if they can defeat it or fall victim to the power of the illusion which will bring out their greatest fear from their heart and make it a reality. He hand hands close ready to use other jutsu if needed but he was not too sure if it would be he hoped they did not take too much offensive to it but when it came to training sosuke had learn to become very serious about it.

Shinzo looked around as everything seemed to sway around and melt at the same time."um maybe I'm not as ready to fight as i thought"said Shinzo as his mind tried to figure out what was happening. Shinzo then remembered his opponent/teammate was there and figure this was part of the fight.
"OK take this Gorilla smashed turtle shell"said Shinzo as he got ready to punch Makoto but as he spoke he literally seen his own word fly from his mouth."what the.."he said seeming freacked out about what was happening

Even as Shinzo spoke, Makoto could feel the subtle shift of his chakra as well as the foreign nature within it. The obvious signs of genjutsu being cast on him were unmistakable. His eyes widened in surprise as the unknown variable flared an instinctive reaction to danger in the chuunin. He quickly wiped the surprise from his face. No need to overreact to something so minor. The leaves that were beginning to swirl around him clued Makoto in that the technique was a simple one. The user was testing them for some reason. Makoto simply brought his hands into a single seal and flared his chakra to disrupt the effect. While executed rather well, the genjutsu was still easy to break by anyone with a bit of experience.
“Would it be safe to assume that this is our sensei or third teammate,” he asked aloud. He was assuming the latter more than the former. An enemy was out because they’d have followed up the attack or struck to kill in the first place. Attacked randomly twice in one day. Makoto thought it was an odd feat. Still, these tests were a bit overboard in his mind. First, Shinzo attacking with taijutsu and now this other with genjutsu. Should he expect a test of ninjutsu next? He let out a low hum of thought. “Such an interesting team this is going to be,” he spoke with a smile. If his teammates were this exciting their sensei would be interesting as well.
"Katetsu-san?" Makoto questioned the genin's state. He didn't seem to have performed any method to break the illusion. Did he know how? The other boy didn't seem to do so well with genjutsu at all. He moved to touch the boy lightly on the forehead and send a surge of chakra to break him from the genjutsu affecting his mind.

Sosuke watch their reaction and had been pleased as it seems one of them had feel into the grip of his genjutsu. He smirked at the words then as he tries continuing with their spar and tries to punch the other guy and noticed him starting to freak out at what he sees. His attention was shifted rather quickly to the other teammate as he noticed him forming a hand seal and felt his chakra slightly as he noticed man defeat the low level genjutsu and watch what he would do next.
He heard his question but said nothing not wanting to give away his location away at the moment and heard sound of thought and his words and thought it might be. Sosuke would watch as he freed the person from his genjutsu by sending a surge of chakra though them and breaking its hold on them. He would think and perform hand seals rather quickly and used Temporary Paralysis Technique targeting them again with it he knew it was only temp but it would also allow him shift positions to get a closer one to see how they escape it.
Sosuke attention was more on one that broke genjutsu then other one but he also wanted to see how he would do against it also. He hoped that other one would have a way to defend him and his teammate against it or maybe not he wanted to see what they well do and if his teammate’s level of teamwork was.

"Thanks Partner"said Shinzo as stood up to scan the area."Any idea where the user is" He said as he stood back to back with Makoto hoping they'll be able to get their mysterious assailant.
"Hmm,if this was genjetsu then that means this guy is close to us right" said Shinzo as he turned his head to Makoto.
Shinzo didn't know much about genjutsu.for the fact that he never uses it but he did know it had have something to do with use be in eye sight range of the victim.
A cold wind blew as they both stood there waiting for the assailant to make the next move. Shinzo then heard a twig snap and got in to fighting pose. "hey that earth style of yours can it find the enemy ?" said Shinzo ah had a plan cooked his sleeve.
(i meant to put spell genjutsu that way to show that he really doesn't know if well or even looked at it much)

Makoto never did get an answer to his spoken question. There mysterious attack seemed hell bent on toying with them for some reason too. He neither revealed himself nor stopped his ambush tactics. And giving away his position was the last thought on his mind apparently as he either did not hear Makoto or simply chose not to answer. Nonetheless, Makoto couldn’t help but wonder just what their third teammate could possibly hope to gain from this venture. While Makoto himself could brush off the attacks without any ill will, the chances that their sensei wouldn’t be too keen on the occurrence was high. Perhaps it was Makoto’s own fault for encouraging such behavior among his team. The notion unsettled him to say the least.
But what was he to do? The chunin allowed his eyes to sweep over the landscape once more. A sudden wave of chakra slammed into him and invisible bindings came into place on Makoto’s person. Not bad. A little rough, but well executed and the jutsu had a decent bit of strength behind it. Even so, after a moment Makoto snapped the invisible shackles that held him and regained his movement with relative ease. Odd, that was it? Makoto shook his head in a bit of disappointment. One could have easily launched an attack and then used that technique. It would press the adversary.
The chunin’s attention went back to Shinzo as the boy regained his wits and recovered from the genjutsu placed on him. Makoto let out a small laugh bit at the word “partner”. Already, the boy wished to place that much trust in him? Makoto didn’t really mind though, if the genin wished to think of him as such Makoto wouldn’t scold him for doing so. With a brief nod at Shinzo’s next words Makoto pondered on the best way to end this game. Training and the like could come after introductions. And better yet, when their sensei actually arrived. Shinzo’s question rang true, but Makoto didn’t really wish to solve this with more fighting. The cold breeze caught his cloak and made it flutter.
“It can,” he finally stated before taking a seat a few moments after Shinzo took a taijutsu stance. The chunin simply chose not to act. “Please take a seat Katetsu-san, unless you wish to engage our teammate that is,” he then offered, though he wouldn’t force the boy nor stop him if he wished to challenge their unseen teammate. His eyes closed as he meditated on the happenings so far. Slowly, his hands moved to make the snake seal, meeting under long sleeves. Soon after his skin darkened, though it was hidden beneath his cloak, hardening to extents that most techniques would fail on. While Makoto did like to study, tests were not within his interests and more often than not he would sit them out if optional. The light taijutsu game with Shinzo had been fun and interesting, but this held nothing worthy of notice. And sometimes the best way to stop something was to simply not encourage it.
