Name:
Honomoeru Ryo
Age:
12
Gender:
Male
Village:
Konoha
Rank:
Genin
Nature Manipulation:
Fire
Appearance:
Ryo is slightly taller than the norm, reaching a height of 5'3. His hair is quite short and slightly spikey, and comes in a
slightly darker shade of blond than that of his brothers, Ryu. His eyes are a bright emerald green, almost perfectly matching
that of his brothers. His face is almost always curled into that of a smile, showing his cheery and friendly demeanor.
Ryo usually wears a dark grey, sleeveless shirt, along with a hooded black sleeveless vest over it. On his neck he wears a dark grey scarf, which on missions he will bring up to cover the lower part of his face. On his arms he wears a couple of arm warmers, both a dark grey in color. These are actually where he stores the majority of his wires. His cargo pants are the same black as his vest, but sewn into the right leg is a vivid green pattern, almost reminiscent of fire. Covering his feet is a simple dark grey pair of sandals.
Personality:
Ryo, even when seen from afar, is a beacon of cheer and happiness, an almost complete opposite of his twin brother. His face is always bright, a smile almost always in place. He loves people, and he loves to be around people. He loves meeting new people, making new friends, and hanging out in general. In the academy, he was one of the most popular due to this attitude, though he doesn't let that fact get to his head.
Even with this attitude though, secretly, Ryo is a depressed boy. He see's what his father has done to Ryu, and is quite angry at both himself and his mother for doing nothing while it was happening. With this, he has promised himself that he will help Ryu destroy the barriers he had built around himself and get some friends. Quite the task indeed.
One of the greatest things Ryo's mother ever taught him was the strength of unpredictability. To be unpredictable is to win. So Ryo is not a tactician by any means. This translates into his daily life as well. He doesn't think before he acts. He merely does. This can get him into some sticky situations with some nasty people, and has before. And will continue to do so, probably for the rest of his life.
What would scare most people about Ryo is actually something which almost every ninja could use. Very little care for others lives. Even to some of those he befriends, he could care little whether they lived or died. Another thing his mother instilled into him. People live, people die. To care is to destroy yourself. Regardless of this fact, Ryo has a small group of people he does care for, and would do anything for. This group is actually only his mother and his brother, but even he knows it will likely grow in the future.
A hate for his own father so deep, very few could see the end of his hatred. Due to their clan traditions of one parent training one child, Ryo spent very little time with his father, but the time he did spend, he spent wishing to kill the bastard who dared to call him kin. The hate mainly stems from the treatment of his brother by their father, Nao, but it also stems from Nao's treatment of his wife, as well as Ryo himself. Nao is what some would call an...abusive person. Not physically, hell, Aoi is actually probably the better ninja, but Nao's words can cut deep.

History:
Being born to the Honomoeru clan, Ryo was trained by his mother from a very young age, and got to see his father and brother very little. Even with this, he became best friends with his brother, Ryu, and was instilled with a hate for his father.
His mother, being very proficient with the use of ninja wires, taught Ryo that as well. He took to the wires like a fish to water. He loved them. And his mother was ecstatic. Very few ninja actually trained extensively in the use of wire, and his mother was grateful her son would carry it on with him.
At age 8, as is common, Ryo and his brother joined the Ninja Academy. Ryo quickly gained popularity, while his socially stunted brother sat in the background, making no friends, merely studying and going home. Of course, Ryo never merely left his brother like this. He tried to get him involved in activities, but his brothers barriers were too thick. So, he kept a firm watch on his brother, while living his own life as well.
One day, though, his eyes strayed from his brother, and of course, something terrible happened. Ryu had unlocked their kekkei genkai due to the taunting of another student, and had started using it to savagely attack him. Not wanting his brother to get into trouble for killing another student, Ryo forced his brother back, unknowingly unlocking the Kokoro no Hono as well in the process.
Thankfully, the boy lived, though he would never be a ninja, and Ryu managed to get out of trouble after it was realized the boy had started the altercation. After this, Ryu became even more of a recluse, likely because of their father, but luckily still seemed to treat Ryo the same. Still, Ryo was angered at the fact that their father had made Ryu even more socially awkward, and vowed that one day, one day, their father would die by his hand.
RP Sample:
Ryo watched from his room as Ryu was scolded by their father in the main room. He couldn't believe this. Ryu had done nothing wrong, yet here there father was, acting like everything wrong in the world was Ryu's fault. That bastard! How dare him! Just who the hell did he think he was? Well, he was their father, but he had no right to treat Ryu, hell, to treat any of them this way.
Especially not Ryu, who only ever tried to do right by Nao. He excelled in his studies. Excelled in his training with Nao. Yet any time something even just the littlest of things goes wrong, he acts like the whole world has gone to shit.
Ryo couldn't take this anymore. Couldn't take his father acting like he was a god. It was at this moment he decided, his father would die. By his hand. Maybe not now. Maybe not in a couple of years. His father was an excellent ninja, so it would be a while. But it would happen. One day. And Ryo could barely wait. He could almost feel the life already flowing from Nao's body. One day. One day.
Soon, Nao stopped his scolding of Ryu, and merely left the boy standing there, alone and depressed. Ryo watched his father stroll from the room, acting as if he owned the world. His hate grew a little more. As soon as the front door closed shut, Ryo came from his room, approaching his brother.
"You alright, bro?" Ryo asked, his tone one of complete concern. Him and his brother may not of seemed close, but in reality, they were some of the closest people around.
