Name: Kiri Tojiro (Kee-lee Tow-Jee-Row)
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Village: Otogakure (The Village Hidden In The Sound)
Rank: Genin
Nature Manipulation: Water
Appearance: Kiri has a very deceptive appearance; one that makes her seem fragile upon first-time meetings. She is just shy of five feet, ten inches with a thin, skinny build. She is very pale (a mixture of her own skin tone and lack of time in the sun) with long black hair that comes down most of the way down her back. Her eyes are also black, matching her mother.
As for clothing, Kiri has two different outfits that she frequently changes between. The first one is her most common and the one that she wears in combat and training. This outfit is mainly based with a black skin-tight skirt (that shows her midriff) with half-sleeves and black capris. To add to this, Kiri also wears black boots that come to her knees as well as cloth wraps wound around her hands up to her elbows. The rest of her outfit includes a sliver sash around her waist, that covers her stomach and her headband that rests loosely around her neck. The picture of this is as provided.

Her second outfit shares the same color scheme, but it only worn when Kiri is lounging or studying. This is a black robe that goes all the way to the floor, opening at the front. However, when drawn closed as it should be, it only shows a bit of her collarbone. This robe is adorned with a silver ribbon-like tie around her waist that ties into a large bow in the back.
Personality: Kiri’s personality is complicated to say the least. Growing up as a social outcast has left her with a troubled heart; conflicted between wanting to trust and fearing doing so. As a general concept, she remains wary and even somewhat distant to most people she meets. This outer shell isn’t too hard to get through if someone does it right, but it’s very easy to lose her trust very quickly. If she so much as believes that a person may betray her, she makes it a point to distance herself as fast as possible, not willing to submit herself to that emotional pain.
Despite this particular behavior, Kiri’s heart is kind and eager to please. She will pretty much do whatever she can to assist those that she truly trusts, as she fears making them abandon her. Granted this personality is only really something that only a select few people see; but to these people, she is loyal almost to a fault. It is also known that she will reach out and help others if she can, but she will not allow herself to get too close to them.
As a final note, Kiri can be rather quick tempered when it comes to some subjects. In combat, she is known to be quite a bit bolder than her normal self, showing a sharp tongue and wit. Funny enough, she generally won’t kill unless she has to, however.
Weapon: Kiri does carry one major weapon outside of the norms for a ninja. She commonly keep a metal staff across her back with various marking engraved into it. It is an heirloom from her current caretaker, Saranai. This staff is fairly lightweight, but very durable. It is also nearly as tall as she is. Kiri is moderately skilled with it.
Jutsu: Kiri knows all of the basic jutsu involved with graduating the academy, though she is not very good at the original clone jutsu. Her other jutsu consist of:
-Water Whip Jutsu
-Water Clone Jutsu
-Water Prison Jutsu
-Water Wave Jutsu
History: Kiri Tojiro was actually born in the Hidden Leaf Village despite where she is now. Born to a family of 3 others, Kiri grew up with an both her parents and her older brother until age three, where her father went out on a mission and vanish. He is presumed dead.
Kiri's life seemed to stabilize after her father's disappearance, though it took a long time. However, Kiri's life took a turn for the worse again in later years. Yuki as she died on a mission when Kiri was only six. Kiri was then cared for by her older brother for a short amount of time, up until he was called to return to his post in the ANBU Black Ops.
At this point, Kiri started to develop a few mental problems due to not having people to care for her consistently. A distant form a depression showed faint signs as well as possible traces of occasional separation anxiety. Kiri needed somewhere else to settle in order to re-stabilize.
In hopes to give her a peaceful life, Kiri was sent from the village to a friend of her mother’s in the Land of Rice, not far from where the Hidden Sound would be later formed. Perhaps as a farmer or something else in that trade, Kiri would find some "easier ground" to stand on.
The Hidden Sound was raised some years after this, leaving Kiri to be recruited into the local academy. She trained here to be a ninja, hoping to find something to distract herself. This would hopefully keep her busy and give her some purpose to her life.
She discovered right off the bat that she had a strange natural ability to control her chakra. It was like weaving to her, calming and enjoyable. This made training easy for her, making most of her jutsu graceful and well formed. Due to this, she got relatively high marks. But, due to her problems with the clone justu, she did end up taking a long time to pass the final exam. She graduated a year later than normal.

“Alright, that’s it for today. Head home.” Tanaka Sensei gathered his own things as he dismissed the class. The underground academy of the Village Hidden in the Sound was a dull and dark place, or so it felt to one particular student. Kiri Tojiro gathered her own belongings into her bag and prepared to follow the rest of the class out. She almost made it.
“Miss Tojiro? May I speak with you for a moment please?” Tanaka Sensei spoke when Kiri was only three feet from the exit. Dang. So close. Kiri cringed and looked back over her shoulder.
“Yes, Sensei?” She asked, trying to sound polite. Internally, she wanted to just slip out and disappear with the rest of the class. Whether that be working her butt off training in the target hall or just going to go study in the small, dusty make-shift library… anything was better than this.
Tanaka Sensei beckoned, making the young girl sighed and slink toward him.
“I’m concerned about your latest performance in testing in the clone jutsu, kid. You were showing improvement there for some time, but now it seems you’ve slipped back to your initial behavior,” he commented, staring hard at her.
Kiri averted her eyes, staring at her shoes. “I’m trying, Sensei. It just doesn’t come to me as easy as it does the others. I can’t…”
Tanaka sighed and shook his head. “Of everyone in this class, you tested with the highest levels of chakra control. You have a ton of potential. But for some reason…” his gaze drifted to the door. “Improve or you will fail the graduation exam. Again. That is all.”
Kiri nodded, keeping her eyes to the floor. She left the room in a small hurry, trying not to be too obvious about it. But she wanted out. Out of this room and out of this academy. These people had no idea what she had been through. All she ever heard around here was the usual crap about her "being too soft" and that she should "go back to the Hidden Leaf." Maybe it would be better if she never graduated. This academy thing was turning out to be more and more of a bad idea. She walked past the target halls and head for the stairs.
Emerging to the cool air above ground was a release for Kiri. She felt free when she left those dark halls and part of her never wanted to go back. Back she had too. Dropping out was not an option here. You weren’t done until the teacher was done with you.
She broke into a run toward her home. At least while she was there, she had a small amount of sanctuary. For a little while anyway. Home was the one place where she could be what she was without ridicule.
Notes:
-Alright, I've gone through and taken care of all the edits. All of her half demon-ness is gone, I think. Let me know if you see anything I missed.
-A side note on her fighting style. Kiri is still designed for speed rather than strength. She prefers to not fight close quarters if she can avoid it, so she tries to keep her attacker at a distance.
-Finally, I know that becoming Orochimaru’s student generally involves a curse mark, and I have already thought of that. I still have the schematics for the one that Kiri has received in the past as well as the description of her second state. But for now, I will leave that for another time.
Hope you enjoy all the work that I put into her.
