Name: Aidokusha Gōhō.
Age: Twenty-seven.
Gender: Female.
Village: Iwagakure.
Rank: Jounin.
Nature Manipulation: Earth.
Appearance:
Aidokusha identifies as a woman, and indeed that is what her sex indicates. She is not, however, your typical beauty: her facial features are far too strong to be construed as such. She's a strong jaw and broad, flaring cheekbones, and her nose is blunt and slightly rounded. That said, she is shapely, thanks to lucky genetics and a lifetime of physical activity.
She's light brown eyes courtesy of her mother, and her skin is a light brown, inherited from her darker-skinned father. Also inherited from her father is her dark brown, nearly black hair, the silky consistency of which she inherited from her mother. Her hair is generally kept at length of over a foot, though she doesn't like for it to fall down any further than midspine. She has bangs in the front of her head that fall just a little past her eyes, and in the front of her hairstyle are two long, thick bunches of hair that are bound by long orange bands near the bottoms. The rest of her hair is loosely swept back and bound with another orange band.
Her outfit consists of a number of layers, beginning with a fishnet undershirt with sleeves that end at the elbow junction. On top of that shirt is a sleeveless, dark brown shirt, and on top of that is a form-fitting sleeveless jacket of a muted bright green coloration. Her metal ninja symbol is fitted high up on the left breast of her jacket, just a tad beneath her stiff, upright collar that parts in a v-shape.
On both hands, Aidokusha wears dark-colored gloves, and as a matter of personal preference has the fingers of the gloves shorn off. If she had her way, she's go pantsless, but alas, as it's generally frowned upon in polite society, Aidokusha has compromised and is generally seen wearing medium-grey, formfitting pants that cut off just above the knee. On her right leg is a band of white cloth, around which the orange strap of her ninja kit is bound. The small pack itself carries a number of small scrolls sealed in intricate patterns, the sealed contents of which include food, weapons, and any number of other things that she deems needed on her journeys. And lastly, but not leastly, her footwear of choice is a pair of flat-soled, open-toed sandals that go up about an inch above her ankle.
In mannerism, Aidokusha's a tendency to stand tall, shoulders rolled back and posture picture-perfect - a throwback to her childhood training as a dancer. She tends to walk with a certain loose-limbed demeanor and for all that her features aren't particularly dainty, she minces her steps and appears to have an extremely fluid gait. This changes once she's got something serious to do, in which case she settles down closer to the earth with her feet place flat on the ground.
Personality:
A straightforward person, Aidokusha is known to avoid dancing around in conversation and to get to the heart of the matter. She's tactful and diplomatic, however, and as such avoids being painfully blunt. Well, generally speaking, that is. As always, there are exceptions to such things. As could be expected from any Jouin-level shinobi, Aidokusha is often perceptive, and she does like to make it a hobby of sorts to watch and analyze people's behavior. That said, while she might enjoy sitting back and watching what happens, she's no problem with jumping in and being involved in the doings of things. In general, ask, and you shall receive - unless she judges it to be a ridiculous and/or stupid request, or you are not the Tsuchikage. And along those lines, it's a rare day when Aidokusha isn't willing to get her hands dirty and do work, dirty or otherwise. She's a fairly willing worker.
She's a practical person, and gifts that would be appropriate are generally practical and useful: food, clothes, tools. The downside to this is that, because she actually uses these, she generally doesn't accept gifts from just anyone - there's too much a risk of the food being poisoned or the weapons being defective for her to want to use them, and she's particularly picky about what she wears, since she has to wear clothes at all. A better gift, one that she's more willing to accept and one that is one of her few so-called frivolities, is books. She loves to read, and always has a book or two with here wherever she goes.
She's a loyal person, and while she might have a case of general paranoia, she trusts her fellow Iwa nin almost without question when it comes to a fight. And that's when it counts, right? She's a big believer of teamwork, but has no qualms with going off and doing her own thing - a very flexible person, really, in that respect. In others, though...? Not so much. She's got a stubborn part to her, and it generally surfaces when matters of morality come into play. It's not to say that she won't adapt her opinions if need be - she's open to suggestion, and is constantly adapting and revising her opinions in dozens of small, nearly insignificant ways - but once she's got an idea, she will stick with it 'til kingdom come if she has to.
She's good at keeping a secret, and as well she should be, being as she spent several years in the Iwa ANBU division. She's no qualms with killing folks, though she does feel a tad sad at ending lives, simply because it's an end. Life is precious, after all. That said, for all that she's sentimental in that regard, the woman is a ruthless fighter, and in her book, there's really no such thing as fighting dirty. When it comes down to it, it's a matter of who lives and who dies, and because it's her life and the lives of her comrades that's generally on the line, she's of the mind to do her damnedest to ensure that she survives. The will to survive is strong within her.
While Aidokusha has absolutely no intention at the present of settling down and having kids, she does like children, and she does have somewhat of a nurturing personality. This doesn't stop her from putting the wee humans through their own personal versions of hell, of course, but it does make working with them tolerable. She also likes dogs, though she hasn't owned one since she was a kid.

History:
Like any human, barring those spawned by the likes of Orochimaru or by other means, Aidokusha Gōhō was the product of a union between a man and a woman; her father was Tōhei Gōhō, a career shinobi who'd married late in the game and was, at the time of her birth, working in the Iwagakure Headquarters. Her mother, Yaezakura Gōhō, was a civilian and the owner of a dance studio that had been in the family for as long as they could remember. The two had met when Tōhei had swung around the studio to pick up his kid sister, and subsequent meetings also occurred because of such. And after a while, they started meeting outside of the studio, and as the years went on, they slowly fell in love. They did not marry, however, until Tōhei was no longer working as a missions shinobi and could stay home. And the rest, I suppose, is history.
As a wee tyke, Aidokusha grew up in the dance studio - it was from her mother that she learned to control her body, everything from breathing to the precision of movement - skills that would come in handy when she went into her training as a shinobi. And there was no doubt about it, that little Aidokusha would enter the Academy and become a ninja: it was a strong family tradition. And enter she did, at the right nice age of eight. It was in there that she learned all of the basic ninja skills, as well as reading, writing, and arithmetic. The instructor that taught reading was one of her favorites, and it was because of him that she fostered a great and abiding love of reading.
The girl graduated from the Academy at the right nice age of eleven, received her ninja headband, and officially became a Genin. And, as per the usual, she was assigned a Jounin leader and two other squadmates. They were agreeable sorts, and the team worked well together. When the Third Great Ninja War swung around, the Chuunin Exams was cancelled, and as a result of wartime, all three Genin were promoted to Chuunin and shipped off to war.
It was during the war that Aidokusha's military expertise grew, and it was only due to her ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations that she survived a number of situations. The rest were a result of the invaluable aid of her teammates, not all of which were members of her former Genin-squad. And somehow, through fate and fortune, she made it through the the deadly war, something that could not be said of a good many of her comrades, nor of a good many people that fought on the sides of the enemies. Too many people died in that war. Too many.
At some point after the war (probably a year or two after), Aidokusha became a Jounin - and it was shortly after that that she was recruited into the ANBU division, a stint that would last for, oh, three or four years. And then she departed from the division and resumed regular Jounin duties. And the time has come for her to assume a Genin team and act as a Jounin-sensei.
RP Sample:
There was a sound of knuckles cracking, and then ten fingers waggled in the air as if to work out the kinks. Aidokusha stared down at the hands, studying them. They were her own, of course, as much as part of her as anything - yet, sometimes, they seemed so alien to her. The knobs that served knuckles, the fleshy protrusions that were supposedly her fingers. And the fingernails. Those were so odd. Why did humans have fingernails? What was the point of them? And more importantly, how could things so guilty, so dirty, look so odd? They weren't even fearsome, they were just odd. Bony projections of the arm, spindly twigs with the power to end lives with relative ease. And indeed they had - they'd born the weapons the sliced throats, they'd crushed skulls all by themselves, served as the mediums through which deadly jutsu channeled out... And they didn't even look deadly. There was no malicious curve, no sinister angle. They were just, simply... Hands.
And that was okay, really. Because they weren't all bad. Truly. There were good things about them, too, there was no doubt of that. These were the hands that had embraced friendship. The hands that had built homes and saved comrades, had held books and created art. And they would be the hands that guided a new generation of shinobi.
Ah. Right. Guidance. Genin teams. That was what she was supposed to be doing. Or rather, that was what she was waiting for. For them to show up, that was. When she'd been notified that she would be heading a Genin team, and then she'd been notified as to whom would be on her team, she'd dispatched a messenger with handwritten notes to the three of them with the order that they all congregate forthwith at such-and-such time at the waterfall. And in the interest of making a good first appearance, the Jounin had arrived early. Too early, however, which quickly led to a prolonged period of standing around and waiting for people to show up. And eventually, she'd climbed up a tree and plunked her butt down to sit and wait in relative comfort. The vantage point she'd chosen to sit in was one of the larger trees in the area, a great looming behemoth that overshadowed the nearby small spring that was fed by the great mountain waters. The mountain waters in question actually emerged from several hundred feet above the spring, the drop of which created a thin - but powerful - waterfall. Not that that was important, but it was certainly lovely to look at.
Not that she was spending the whole time looking at waterfalls and awkward hands, mind. For a while, she'd been reading, an epic story of the days of yore, of ninja heroes and hard times - and, to be honest, it wasn't terribly realistic, but the writing was wonderful, and she liked the world-building. It was tangible. Unfortunately, it was limited to the text that the author had inscribed, and Aidokusha could only read so much before she ran out of material to read. A sad day, indeed. And it was the only book she'd brought out with her, this close to the village. Hence her aimless observations of the world around her...
