Kaibutsu laughed a little as Akemi almost fell out of her chair. He would of told her some of the great stories of Ryujin, he really did. But he listened to his mothers words, at least on that subject. And truthfully, he doubted he could tell the stories well, at least in his current state. Already the alcohol was beginning to affect his brain, and things had started getting blurry and started spinning.
He looked at her hand resting on his shoulder, helping him regain his balance, before once again looking at her face. A small gracious smile was on his lips. "Thanks again, Akemi-chan." His voice didn't hold all the enthusiasm it had in the earlier thank you's, mainly because he didn't want to bring too much attention to himself. A ninja almost falling over? How embarrassing. "You sure have been helping me a lot today, huh?" A larger grin replace his earlier one, this one the fun loving smile he had worn since he had arrived in the restaurant.
"Weapon master and swordswomen, huh?" He said, scratching his chin while eying the girl. After a few seconds, he nodded his head. "Yosh! You just have to keep trying and I'm sure you could make it!" He said, well, more like shouted. Some of the other patrons turned to look at the ruckus, but quickly turned back to their meals when they realized it was a shinobi. They had seen much weirder things in their days.
"I'm going to be the next Stealth and Assassination specialist of the Misht!" He once again shouted, throwing his fist into the air as a sign of determination. Like most inebriated people, he didn't notice the slight slur that had found it's way off his tongue, but even if he knew, he more than likely wouldn't care. He had just announced his dream. Well, sort of. It was actually his fathers dream for his son, and Kaibutsu would honor that dream. Even with his life.

Akemi caught the boy’s eyes when he looked at her. With her smile dropping, she realized the boy was pretty fairly done at this point. Those unfocused eyes told the young girl all she needed to know of his current state. And whethere he realized it or not, he was beginning to slur his words. The reality of what came next nearly made her groan in annoyance. Not all first drinkers were keen on the idea of ‘stopping’ until they found their drinks and food on the floor as well as their faces in it sometimes. Akemi had just scrubbed the floor and she really didn’t feel like doing so again.
She sighed when he spoke of her generous help that she’d offered. Akemi was using him as a reason to escape her chores and she was also extremely bored since there wasn’t much of anything else to do. Besides, maybe he’d show his appreciation by giving a generous tip in return. It had been a slow day a little extra money wouldn’t hurt. She wouldn’t hold her breath on it though. The shout drew her attention back to Kaibutsu. She practically welled up with pride, of course she could make it. Who did he take her for? She was Akemi Izayoi!
Another shout came and she let out a nervous laugh. Yeah, maybe she should stop him at this point. She’d give the guy a couple of points in her book. He had some guts and dreams as high as hers. Akemi could respect that in anyone. Still, it was kind of saddening that he was mostly like this because he was drunk. The less intoxicated mind he held might be one of the more serious types. Heck, Kaibutsu might not even remember anything that happened. And she was starting to warm up to him a bit too. Oh well, maybe they’d run across each other while sober and she’d find a friend in him then. But not now, she just couldn’t take him seriously in his current state.
Now the task at hand, getting him to stop drinking. “You’re still feeling okay, right? Take it easy, I’ll get you some water so you won’t feel so cruddy in the morning.” She said before turning around to go get a cup.

Kaibutsu noticed that she seemed a little uncomfortable at his shouting. A miracle, considering how intoxicated he already was. He sat down, looking at the jug of sake. So far it seemed fun, but he knew that this wasn't something he would do too often. In fact, he probably never would of ordered sake had she not told him about. Not that he didn't know he was allowed to have sake, the thought just hadn't occurred to him.
"Oh yeah, I'm feelin' great! Better than ever!" While still enthusiastic, he didn't shout like before. He also noticed his head seemed to hurt less. At the moment he had asmall headache, one that had been caused by his earlier shouting. Weird, since he had never heard of someone's own voice causing them pain...
As she got up to get him some water, he felt compelled to stop her. He needed to leave anyway, and Kaibutsu felt she had already done more than enough for him. He stood quickly, but his world started spinning madly. He stumbled forward, trying to balance himself. He grabbed the first thing he came in contact with, which happened to be Akemi. One hand landed on her shoulder, but the other was the problem. It had landed on her backside. And that usually spelled trouble. He let go quickly, not really noticing he had done anything wrong. He regained his balance, but the world still seemed to be spinning, meaning if someone attacked him at the moment, he would have no way of retaliating.

Kaibutsu’s nonchalant shout to answer her was mostly missed. Akemi got the gist of it, but didn’t really pay that much attention to his words and their meaning. Nope, things were getting rather dull around here and there were still a few chores she’d need to get done. Her brief break was a nice one and much deserved, but she couldn’t put the restaurant off forever. She could try, but it would come back to bit her on the rear in the end. And then the work would be tenfold of its original power and that was saying something. So with the intent to help out Kaibutsu in mind she continued to get him a glass of water in order to lessen the pain he’d feel in the morning.
The girl didn’t know what had compelled her to let her guard down. Perhaps it was the safety of being near home, the fact that her parents were nearby, or maybe she was just tired after a long and agonizingly slow day of work. However, the fact of the matter was that Kaibutsu got very close very quickly. The sense of danger wasn’t there because she thought he was pretty drunk and helpless. Another mistake on her part. The touch came to her shoulder and she stopped in confusion. However, that one that landed on her butt…there they had a problem. A big one.
Anger clouded Akemi’s mind before she knew it. Did this bastard think she was that kind of girl? Her hands must have dropped whatever she might have been holding because they balled into fists at the offensive touch to her rear. Without thinking, she attacked. No words and no warning, just action. It was a good thing she didn’t have any weapons on her or she would have gutted him on the spot or just cut off something that he needed to be considered a man. But she’d make him pay.
“Secret Art of the Kunoichi!” She shouted in her mind. Then she performed one of the most devastating techniques known to man. She kicked kicked Kaibutsu straight between the legs hard enough for his ancestors to squeal like a little girl. She would have followed it with a right of retribution or a legendary left strike, but the anger faded. Then it was replaced with fear. Was this guy still okay? She just attacked a drunk idiot! Sure he deserved it…but… “Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no. Oh no.” she chanted softly. He wasn’t dead was he? The girl glanced around to make sure no one was looking. Good, no one saw…she didn’t need a witness incase she had to dispose of Kaibutsu’s dead body. After the brief panic, she looked back at Kai himself to check on his state.
