--“It is strange to be known so universally and yet to be so lonely.”--
God, it was too hot for a cloak. That was Itachi’s first thought as he stepped out of the shade of the trees. But, of course, he couldn’t not wear the cloak. He sighed, black eyes flitting aimlessly until they reached the bridge and the water running under it. He probably would’ve walked out onto it had it not been for the abundance of people around. Instead he retreated a step back into the shadows to observe the scene and the people rushing back and forth, or just ambling about.
Leaning against a tree, the raven haired male closed his eyes and let his thoughts consume him. He Hadn’t been to his home--and yes, he still considered it home--for a while now. Not that anything had changed, really. Konoha never seemed to change. The people though, they changed too often. He wondered, briefly, just what his otouto was doing. Sasuke was sure to be training by now, or on a mission ever, because that was all he did lately. More precisely; since the Uchiha Massacre. Not that the elder Uchiha checked in on the prodigy or anything. With a sigh, he opened his eyes, onyx orbs surveying the area once again. Truthfully, he was less than worried about being found. He’d done this plenty of times, and nobody had ever recognized him. It was rather easy for a missing nin to stay, well, missing.
