When the clock struck 5 a.m., he had departed from his home, a snoozing structure nestled away in the prestigious Hyuga Residence. He had awaken this early every morning, before the morning rush could intrude upon his privacy. The brisk walk to the Training Grounds was refreshing; the wind picking up between the trees, and the light sunshine gracing his presence. When he had arrived to his destination, the ground was still hidden beneath the shadows, or at least, what was left. Even the atmosphere felt peaceful; an absolute tranquility resolved through simply walking into the Training Grounds' perimeter.
Then his intense training began, thus, causing the Hyuuga to withdraw from his meditation, and gradually open his eyes to the morning sunshine. If his knowledge on the position of the sun were correct, it was sometime around 7 a.m. Neji was perched atop a nearby log amongst three others. His lavender eyes immediately went to the once intact ground, now barren with several small craters from his Kaiten training.
His frustrations over the small glitches in his Kaiten sent him to meditation, along with the lack of stamina. The absolute defense was not perfected in any means. Releasing the chakra too early caused a weak Kaiten, completely destroying its said purpose. However, releasing the chakra quicker meant a larger area was covered, but still the weakness in his defense. Neji could not find out the proper solution in expanding the area and speed of his rotation technique.
Neji replenished himself with water before removing himself from the log. Since his Genin team had not met just yet, though he knew the pairings, he had more time to train. He stood on a fresh patch of earth, regaining his bearings. Sliding his foot clockwise, he spun rapidly whilst releasing chakra from his tenketsu, creating a physical chakra barrier around his being. Dust and pebbles were scattered in the process, but his solution remained unknown.
