Gender:
Female

Iwagakure

Genin

Appearance:
Doku's appearance could, to some, be considered odd, especially amongst the shinobi of Iwagakure. Her facial features are high set, something one might see more fit on a noble rather than a ninja. Hers eyes are a bright orange, set below thin eye-brows which are often forced downward in an angry fashion. Her white hair is quite long, with the tips being a bright blue. Some of this is gathered into a high ponytail. Her left ear is pierced, and usually holds a simple metal loop earring.
Her frame is small, yet toned, as expected of one in her profession. This toned frame sits upon a 4'11 body, and weighing in at 97 pounds. On her torso she wears mesh clothing that covers her torso all the way down to her knees. The top of this mesh is covered by a simple black sleeveless shirt, which covers from her neck, past her slightly larger than average breasts, down to her mid torso region. She also has mesh covering her right elbow, as well as her right hand. Her pelvis is covered by a simple pair of black shorts, and above these is wrappings, which are used to hold some of her poisons. On her feets she wears a pair of shinobi sandals, with a slightly raised back. These extend up her legs, ending just above her knees. Covering her lower body as well is a brown skirt, which completely covers one leg, but leaves the other exposed. Over this, she wears an exceedingly long sash, wrapped around herself several times. Embroidered into this sash is her headband, which, when the sash is tied correctly, comes to just below her below button.
Doku Tsutaurushi
Personality:
Almost everyones first impression of Doku involves two very specific words. Egotistical and bitch. And they would pretty much be right. Doku is not a nice person to almost anyone she meets, regardless of rank, age, or repute. This attitude actually stems from her father, who after his accident acted this same way to almost everyone he met.
Doku is very egotistical in the fact that she believes she's the best thing to happen to the shinobi world. She thinks she's the best poison user, at least for those of her age group, and also believes she will be the best thing since the forming of the villages.
This attitude, unknown to many, is something stemming from the fact that her parents would never acknowledge her. She felt that with all her hard work, SOMEONE, ANYONE, should acknowledge her. Her sensei's kind of did, but it was not nearly what she needed. So the burden fell to herself. And with no one to discipline her, it grew out of control.
Were she to find someone to openly acknowledge her for her skill, this attitude to would probably fall off some, though it had grown to be a part of her being, so it may never truly go away.
With this, on the inside Doku is a very lonely, depressed little girl. She has no friends, basically no parents, no one to talk to. So she has her problems all bottled up. These often break out during times of stress for her, causing her to cry uncontrollably. Usually she can feel when its about to happen and finds a nice secluded training ground to have a nice cry in. To this point, she has never been seen.

History:
Almost thirteen years ago, the one known as Doku Tsutaurushi was conceived to parents Ikari and and Muchi Tsutaurushi. Ikari and Muchi hoped for a boy, but were not opposed to having a girl. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, this changed.
Ikari was a chuunin of some skill who hoped to become a jounin some day. Muchi had tried to become a ninja, but had not the skill proficient enough to pass the test. Instead, she took over her family's herbal shop, selling herbs and special teas.
One day, Ikari was sent on a mission dangerously near the border of Hi no Kuni. The tensions between Iwa and Konoha still existed after the last war, but Iwa felt they needed the profit this would bring them.
Ikari, along with six other ninja, came upon a four-man Konoha patrol. Seeing each others headbands, the two groups immediately engaged each other. Due to their superior numbers, the group of Iwa ninja managed to overwhelm the Konoha ninja, but at a price. Four of the Iwa ninja were dead, and Ikari himself was rendered...infertile.
When Ikari returned home, due to his new condition, both he and Muchi desperately hoped for a boy, mostly to carry on the family line. So of course when Doku was born, both parents were extremely disappointed. And this would be the attitude they kept throughout her childhood.
Needless to say, Doku's childhood was not a fun one. No matter what she did, or how well she did it, her parents were always disappointed. She could never be good enough. So, in an attempt to impress her parents, she had her father sign her up for the ninja academy.
During her time in the academy, Doku felt she had no time for the other children. She needed to work hard and be the best so her parents would actually acknowledge and be proud of her. She couldn't do that with people distracting her. She need to be the best. The best.
She quickly got to the top of her class, at least in academics, and yet her parents didn't congratulate her. Hell, they barely spoke or looked at her. Because of this, she needed someone, any one, to make her feel like she was something. That burden eventually fell to herself. So, she became what the others would call an 'egotistical bitch.' This just made her angrier. How could they not see she was the best? How could they not see how much better she was than them. Needless to say, she remained friendless throughout her time in the academy.
Even with this attitude, one chuunin sensei at the academy took an interest in the poor girl. He himself was a poison specialist, something severely lacking in the shinobi world today, and felt she would make a great poison ninja. A joke among him and the other sensei was that he chose her because of her...poisonous attitude.
Giving her a scroll, along with one-on-one training, the sensei was astounded by how quickly she picked up the few poison jutsu Iwagakure had to offer. Doku herself hope these jutsu would help to impress her parents. Alas, they did not. Her father was more disappointed than anything at the fact that she had chosen such a specialization, and not something more practical, such as elemental ninjutsu or even some sort of taijutsu.
Dejected, Doku continued her way through the academy, keeping her attitude and still trying to impress her parents. Soon, she graduated, which did nothing to impress her parents, and now awaits to be assigned a team.
RP Sample:
Doku sat in her room in her family's small house, laying on her bed, staring at the bare ceiling that lay above her. When she wasn't training or at the academy this is what her day mostly consisted of. She couldn't speak with her mother or father, due to the fact that they often ignored her and pretended she didn't exist. Of course they still fed and clothed her, though the latter had often fallen to her, with her parents leaving the money out for her to buy her own clothes.
Her eyebrows curled down in a frown. They couldn't even be bothered with her anymore, not even taking the time to buy her clothes. Not that she really cared. In reality she liked buying her own clothes. Shopping itself was kind of fun. It would of been better to have someone along with her, but she knew how that was.
No one particularly liked her, and she didn't really care about that either. She was the best. Who needed them? Not her, that's for sure! She would be the best damn ninja out there, no matter what anybody said!
The next second, tears started to well up in her eyes. It would be nice to have friends though. She'd never had any friends...Doku had no idea what having a friend was like, and deep down, that hurt. The loneliness started to overwhelm her, and the tears came. Turning around, Doku bawled into her pillow. She bawled and bawled. The pillow did nothing to mute the sounds of her crying. She wasn't surprised when no one came.
Unknown to her, her father sat outside the door, hand on the knob, ready to burst into the room and comfort his daughter. Tears came to his eyes. He started to turn the handle, but at the last second, he let go. It was too late for them to have any sort of relationship. He had messed up long ago. And nothing he did now could fix it..
Little did he know how wrong he was....
