Name: Taki no Fû, "Fû of Waterfall"
Age: 13
Gender: Female…though very tomboyish
Village: Takigakure
Rank: Chuunin
Nature Manipulation:
Appearance:
Fû is like all of the jinchuuriki in the way that she stands out. She reaches five feet easily, standing taller than many of her peers. She weighs one hundred pounds, evenly, though not because she exercised much. Being hated throughout the village just meant that she had to steal a lot of what she ate, so she didn’t eat much. Her skin is also darker than an average kid. This is due to the fact that Nanabi is constantly pushing its chakra throughout her body, causing her skin to be as tough as by an exoskeleton, creating for Fû an armored defense. This, however, makes her extremely slow.
She has a bright orange clip in her hair, pulling back some of her short, pointed mint green hair; the same green hair that is cut a bit unevenly so as to give the villagers a hard time in grabbing her. Her eyes lack any sign of a pupil, and are a very interesting shade of orange, much like the clip in her hair. She generally wears a petite, sleeveless white shirt that only reaches her midriff. She does wear fishnet armor underneath, though, as she is not comfortable with showing off her body. She has long, white armlets on her arms. On her right bicep, she has her forehead protector at the end of her armlet. She has fishnet shorts that reach two inches above the midpoint of half her thighs. She wears a short, white, apron skit over the shorts. On her back, she carries a huge object on her back, wrapped in red covering.
Personality:Fû is the type of girl who can’t afford to be thoughtless before she acts, which, as great as it sounds, can really be against her favor. She is sort of that point where the only reason she moves before she’s decided what she’s going to is because, otherwise, she’ll be killed. In a situation, she’s not much one for ‘on the spot’ thinking, or even really paying attention to the people around her. She cares and worries about only herself. However, when she’s alone with Nanabi, she goes through multiple scenarios to see what she could have done differently to protect herself and the only thing in the world that truly cares about her.
Fû tends to be rather strong, so it takes a lot for her to finally break down emotionally and physically. Her strength is really because of the way she has been treated since her best friend was sealed inside of her. She’s got it in her head that no one is going to look out for her, so she’s not going to look out for anyone else, even if they mean well to her. No one is capable of being as strong as her, is her opinion, so she has to take care of things herself. Still, she is a teenage girl that longs to have friends, so it’s not hard to try to befriend her. It just makes the betrayal of their attempt to assassinate her turn her that much more cruel towards everyone else. It’s very difficult to see her try to complete something for somebody else. She does what she wants, when she wants, and she doesn’t care who you are or how strong you are, she won’t let anyone tell her otherwise. To sum up, she doesn’t give a damn.
Fû knows who she is. She knows what has been sealed inside of her and why. She’s not willing to change herself for anyone or anything, especially after the things that they have done with her. In regards, she is either someone you’re going to be glad you met or not. To those that don’t know her, or the people that she utterly hates, Fû can be a total bitch. She tends to be cold, mean, and cruel-particularly to the people she doesn’t know or doesn’t like. She can also be incredibly sneaky, having to steal very often for basic needs. She also has very high goals and expectations for the people around her, and often criticizes them for not moving at a pace she does.
It’s not that Fû wants to be someone who is difficult to approach. She is just not the type of person to have a great deal of friends. She is cold and cruel because that is how people have made her be. She is very arrogant, vain, and definitely very flawed in terms of her personality. She doesn’t recognize any of them, however. She truly believes that she is superior to everyone around her, and that there are only two people in the world that she considers her better, though she doesn’t know them. However, all of this comes into play only if she has been hurt in some way by the person, or if she doesn’t know them. Once they have gotten through the effort in trying to know her, she is actually very cheerful and carefree. She smiles often and even cracks horrible jokes.
If you’ve gained her trust, then Fû is extremely loyal. She is there for whoever needs her and will give any advice carefully, although she doesn’t have much to offer. She is compassionate and extremely friendly, as well as outgoing. She is very clear in what she wants to do with her life-leave Takigakure without ever looking back!

History: Fû was born a happy, if not only slightly eccentric, baby. She was the sole child of Kishiko and Kaito of Taki, and, thus, their pride and joy for a while. She was never spoiled, however, but was gushed over until she reached the halfway point of her first birthday. Through reasons never explained to her, she was sealed with Chômei, the Nanabi. Her parents willingly offered her up as a potential match, in an effort to protect Kishiko’s older sister’s newborn baby. The village council jumped at the opportunity to seal their most prized weapon, and thus Fû the jinchuuriki was created. From that point on, even her parents treated her cruelly, though only to a certain extent. She was never spoiled, and had to work harder than most of the other children to prove she was strong enough to get fed. As a young child, she cared little about the amount of work she had to put forth and more about earning the love of her parents. She was taught how to act properly, and even how to read before most children were. She spent the majority of her young childhood indoors, dreaming of going outside and befriending other children. She longed to go to the Academy, despite knowing that Taki was far from a major village, though certainly one of the more pretty ones.
Overall, her young childhood was pretty uneventful. She spent most of her time inside her home doing chores and hiding in her room whenever company came around. There had been an occasion, however, when Kaito had thrown a party and she had snuck out. Because of Chômei, she had a slightly darker skin tone because of the chakra that would surround her and protect her. Her father would always somehow disappear, and the men would take advantage of that to have the opportunity to hit on her mother. Even though she was young, four at this point, it never felt right to her. They would throw harsh comments in Fû’s direction, and even throw stuff at her. It would hit her, and she would cry and wonder why they were being so mean to her. The stuff never got her because of Chômei, but it made her slower and a much easier target. On the occasion, one of the men had managed to his her mother because she had refused his advances. Of course, Kishiko fought back. A brawl broke out after that. At that time, Kaito had managed to make it downstairs in time to watch Kishiko hit the man. Needless to say, his party was over and her mother was severely punished, sending her into a depression alcohol couldn’t even seem to fix until she died later on-when Fû was 5- of alcoholic poisoning.
At the age of five, right before the death of Kishiko, she was called into her mother’s sick room. Her nose felt like it was on fire, and her eyes had started to water due to the smell of alcohol in the room. She went to her mother’s side instantly and even attempted to hold her hand. There was no chakra surrounding her body at the time as her defenses were low, but that was when the bottle was smashed over her head. Fû was thrown to the ground and instantly started sobbing, having trouble being able to really see anything around her. All she could really hear was her mother cursing at her, yelling for her to get out of her room because she wanted no demon child anywhere near her. With a heavy heart, and bordering the point where she was going to pass out cold, she dragged herself out of the room and promptly collapsed in the hallway. Her mother had chosen to kill herself three months later. She was buried, but, at her request, Fû was not allowed to attend her funeral.
Soon after she recovered, she was placed in the Academy. She was six at the time, and, despite her encounter with her mother, she was eager to make new friends. However, because of the power of her would-be best friend, the entire village of Taki despised her. They threw things at her and went out of their way to make her life miserable. The only person who could remotely put up with her was her father, and even he treated her with some disdain. She had tried to befriend several children, but was often hit and knocked unconscious as a result. Eventually, she learned to never drop her chakra armor, but that didn’t stop the cruel comments and the psychological attacks thrown her way.
At ten, she had had to learn to defend herself from her father. He had changed towards the end of his life. He had treated her kindly and had even made jokes with her. At first, she had been suspicious, but, when nothing happened in three months, she let her guard down and even joked with him back. She felt happy to know that she wasn’t utterly alone in the world. She looked forward to coming home every day and practicing with her father. At the half-year mark between her tenth and eleventh birthday, she woke up morning in a panic. She was struggling to breathe and was kicking and fighting whoever was on top of her. She stayed that way for a couple of minutes until she got to the point where she was seeing black spots. It was at that time that Chômei had decided to take over because Fû woke up unable to remember what had happened. She was lying, with broken toes and a fractured wrist, in a pool of blood that wasn’t her own. She was evicted from their home the day after, not punished in any way, but forced to live on the streets. Despite having family in the village, not one wanted to take her in. When her eleventh birthday passed, Fû had long given up making any friends and had only the goal of staying away from anyone who caused her harm.
She prided herself on taking care that no one got near her. The only reason Fû didn’t go insane was because of Chômei, who kept her comforted. She would only get babied by the Nanabi, which would often result in getting weird looks whenever she would randomly giggle. It would then proceed to have the students run away in a panic, fearing that she had finally cracked. But, the girl hadn’t and she graduated from the academy at the top of her class, being thrown into a team with the second and third placed students, who often left her to complete the missions. (read: she abandoned them so that she would finish faster.)
A month before her thirteenth birthday, Fû achieved chuunin alongside her two teammates. They all had families to return to and celebrate with, but she went directly to the council and demanded a mission.
RP Sample: Fû walked alone along an empty street, happy that she had managed to nab some carrots and apples. She had several of them packed in the bag on her shoulders, but was eating some. They were stolen, of course, but that wasn’t really her fault. What did they expect when they refused to pay her and would rather close down their shops than allow her to buy anything? She had been a Genin for roughly a month now, which meant that she had completed ten D-rank missions. Sure, she knew that they didn’t pay much, but certainly enough to permit her to eat food that wasn’t rotten enough to be thrown away. Those horrible people had refused to let her buy food from them, and so she had stolen. She had done it before and had gotten away with it, so that wasn’t the problem to her. They had even tried to attack her and get her to give it back to them, but she hadn’t done that, either. Chômei was helping her. It was pumping chakra through her system, not like it was particularly needed at the time.
She hadn’t been allowed to have it when she had been stealing. It made her too slow. And, although she was developing a plan to allow her to gain speed, it wasn’t as if any Jounin was properly teaching her. So, she had had to run, unprotected, for a while. She learned that it as best to stay in the rural areas away from where she had committed the crime for about a week-hiding from the higher up ninjas. They all knew that she stole, but, unless they cornered her with the food, there was nothing they could do about it. There was also the fact that Fû didn’t mind leaving the village and spending it outside, swimming in the great waterfall and attempting to fix her water techniques. It was hard work, but she could do it with some encouragement and company from her best friend. It was her goal to get back at the people who had mistreated her. After all, they knew better than to mess with her after what had happened to her father, even if Fû wasn’t conscious at the point that it happened.
“I hate you people.” She murmured to herself, jumping to the rooftops and observing the pathetic weaklings wandering down the streets. Her tone was harsh, cruel, and she could feel herself shaking in anger. “You idiots that attack me, the jerks who laugh when they try to hurt me; you call me the monster?” She shook her head. She was sure that anyone around could hear the bitterness, the hatred, that was in her voice. It had all started with her useless, good-for-nothing drunk of a mother. That was the point that she should have realized she was utterly alone in the world. But, no, the jinchuuriki had had to put faith in the pathetic excuse for humanity. She wanted to get as far away from this place as possible. She was sure that she would be happy in another country. Anyplace was better than this.
“Wait a few more years, Fû. Learn what you can from this sad village, and then we’ll try our luck somewhere else!” Chômei said cheerfully. How it could manage to stay so cheerful when she was so annoyed was beyond her, but she never argued with him. Instead, the green-haired girl smiled ruefully. “You better believe I’m going to try somewhere else!” She laughed. “I don’t care if I have to be a missing nin. I’m sure every major village out there would love to have a jinchuuriki as perfect as me!”
Notes: Chômei the Nanabi is very good at covering Fû with a layer of her chakra to protect her from most weapons and hand-to-hand combat. However, she is unable to properly use any Ninjutsu while using the shield. It also causes her to become gradually slower. She has to sacrifice speed and coordination to be able to up her strength and defense.
