Name: Akari Shima
Age: 13
Gender: Femme
Village: Konoha
Rank: Genin
Nature Manipulation: Water. {I‘m assuming Shadow wouldn‘t work, ne?}
Appearance: Physical Descrip.;; Akari is of average height for the age of thirteen, a bit shorter, maybe. She’s not too pale, due to her time training during the day, but she isn’t tan. Her eyes are a dark maroon that looks near brown, usually holding a calm that no one can seem to understand. Her hair is relatively straight and black, the tips are a blond though. Which is, oddly enough, natural. Her hair ends past her wait as well.
Her figure is better than most, and she’s almost sickly slim. And she doesn’t have rings under her eyes, though she ought to. Sometimes she’ll have cuts and bruises in her arms, legs, and her face. Typically she walks along in a calm, laid back manner. Not looking ready or observant. But she is, very much so, her eyes are always looking around and scrutinizing things.
Clothing;; Akari prefers darker colors, as is natural for a ninja. Her shirt is purple, and sleeveless, with a hood, hugging her figure. it’s a bit longer than the average shirt as well. Her gloves are fingerless, and go up to her elbows. Metal in the knuckles for a harder punch. With bandages on her upper arm. She wears black shorts that go about mid-thigh, with mesh/chain mail that goes down past to just above her ankles. Thin, but protective. And her ninja sandals go up to her knees, black as well. She ties her headband around her left thigh. And she fights with a sword that is strapped across her back.
Personality:
Akari tends to be sarcastic at the best, and worst of times. She isn’t much of a joker, she tends to be a bit more neutral at that. On the outside she looks composed and confident, on the inside shes arguing with a voice inside her head and basically talking to herself. Normal indeed. She hates people who think they’re better than anyone else. Like… A lot of those damn Hyuuga! She thinks of herself just as low as anyone else, though a lot of people feel like she’s superior. Something in the way her eyes scrutinize everyone she sees with a casual, yet piercing, indifference.
Friends are few and far between for her, not many make it past the barrier she put up for her protection. The idea of being open isn’t… normal for her. She usually doesn’t have much of a reason to be open, anyways.
Usually sporting and indifferently bored look, even in a fight, its her way of keeping herself walled off. Her way of hiding her emotions. She doesn’t really see life as a ‘live in the moment’ thing. Not usually. Her personal saying?
“Life is a play. Learn your part and act it out. When the day and the play end, you can be yourself."
She tends to hide behind a bored look, that may differ to something along the lines of aggravated, annoyed, tired, and sometimes happy. Her smiles are almost always fake, and her laughs hold a cold bitter tone. She has a bad habit of saying “Cheh” which can mean a lot of things. Depending on the situation.
Jutsu:

Yami;; It can be used wordlessly and lets its user literally blend into the shadows. Rending them, basically, invisible. Though it does nothing to block out noises, or the works. If one leaves the shadows they take the 'form' of a shadow. Meaning they look like a black figure walking around. She has nearly perfected this technique, also.
Shadow Summon;; Not really a summon, but the user can enlist shadows to help them in a fight or retrieval. The shadows can hurt someone, though they cannot wield objects or grab things. They can--however--touch a person, therefore harm them.

History:
Akari doesn’t know who her parents are, she knows that one is dead. The other, though, she knows is still wandering. Either way, she was born and left with the current Clan Leader. When she turned thirteen she left and went to the home that had been--according to him--her parents when they were still there. So, she took a two story house with nobody else in it. Lonely, ne? Wait, wait, wait, lets rewind and go a bit slower, shall we?
She was basically abandoned when she was born. Left on a random mans doorstep. Life was okay growing up, she learned to plaster a fake smile on her face and keep it to herself. She had friends at one point, all of which seemed to be obsessive over that Uchiha kid. She never understood it, really. She never bothered to. To her, he was just another kid in the academy.
When she was six and her friends all demanded who she liked and she’d said; “Nobody, all the guys we know are to… chauvinistic.”. It took five minutes to explain what chauvinistic was. And then they were all over her on why she didn’t like anyone. She just shrugged and said; “What’s the point?” because, to her, there wasn’t one.
A few weeks later while training with the Clan Leader, Akito, she activated her Kekkei Genkai; Shadômaindo. He’d taught her Yami, then too. She had been so excited, so happy, so, so… proud of herself. She failed to notice the odd looks he was giving her. But, hey, it made no matter. Right?
Two years later at the age of eight she got into her first fight. Her first mistake. Her first thought of ‘oh my god, I’m crazy’. And her first ‘Cheh’ all in one day. Impressive, huh? Anyways… There had always been that one girl, the girl everybody loved. Her name had been Rika. She’d aspired to become a ninja. Why? To impress that chicken ass Uchiha. Akari had wanted to be a ninja to show everyone she wasn’t a weak little kid. And one day, when Rika was bragging all about her stupid little stunt with a shuriken… the black haired girl got too fed up.
She had told the girl to, and I quote; “Shove it up her chauvinistic, overbearing ass!”. And that’s where the fight began. Her first mistake had been throwing the second punch and causing the girl to hit to ground. And then… It happened. ‘Well, damn, that was some hit.’ The girl had jumped out of her skin inside. Who the hell had said that!? She figured she was crazy, then. When shed walked away she coined her catch phrase. “Cheh, you need to train more.”. The Uchiha had ‘Hn’ and she had ‘Cheh’. What’re the odds?
About this time as well, she started having nightmares. So, it only went to her near refusing to sleep. She’d almost basically became an insomniac. Rarely sleeping during the night, she slept at rare points during the days.
At ten she had gotten her Kekkei Genkai down, mostly. And she was quite proud of herself. The academy wasn’t that bad, she would be a Genin soon, and then she got to join a team. She was… excited to say the least. But things had changed in two years, she’d cut herself off from people. They hadn’t minded, and anyways shed turned into a bag of fake smiles and bitter laughs by then.
She also gone on to figure out what that voice was. Her Shadow Animal, to be vague about it. Still thought she was crazy.
At twelve she was training outside the village with Akito, and they were attacked. She supposed they were theives. And when they did she not only fought the with her Shadômaindo, but she managed to evolve it to her stage two. Which should’ve taken longer than it had. But, hey, this was good, right? Who knew.
She continued her training with Akito, though the day she turned thirteen she went to her current home. And it had been… nice. A tad lonely, but nice. Loneliness was something Akari didn’t mind all too much. It could’ve been worse. You see, this leads up to where we are today. She’s graduated, she’s ready and she cant wait to get out there. Of course, with her bored look you’d never notice.

Notes: She actually does need a team, currently. And I put up a jutsu request form-thingy, and a clan creation. =D

“Shut up, already!”The snap of a voice echoed through the quiet street of Konoha, though the girl walking along took no notice. After all, it had been her who yelled. She sighed, running a hand through her hair. There, finally, Sazumi had shut up. Dear god, that thing could talk. She was quite sure she was a wolf, but the damn thing wouldn’t tell her. She trudged along, bored and tired.
But she didn’t sleep often, not at night that is. The night was just too good to waste for her. The day was a bit dull, it was loud and happy. The night was calm and silent. Truthfully, she was quite the insomniac, the rare times she ever slept had been in the daylight anyways.
’Jeez, calm down, kiddo. Your overreacting. I was just making polite conversation.’
Sazumi, as always, was being annoying and loud in Akari’s opinion. Nobody else could hear the shadow-bound creature. So the girl continued in her walk until she neared the top of a rather large hill, a tree firmly atop. Her sanctuary during the--
“Who the hell…?” She hissed, annoyance flashing across her maroon eyes. Because in her tree--yes, she felt she owned it--was a boy, her age she supposed, eyes closed black hair obscuring her view of his face. She stopped under the branch and stared up, bored. “Oi. Get up.” she called.
His eyes opened and blinked as he rubbed them with fisted hands. He yawned, she glared, he looked down, she frowned. “Oh, yo.” He said as he adjusted himself so that both legs were swung over one side. He grinned, and she noted with mild interest that his eyes were green and he was taller than her. She cocked a head to the side slightly, watching his back--which was turned to her--as he swung down so he was hanging by his knees. She jumped, a tad surprised.
“Who’re you?” He asked, and she took a quick, short step back. For a moment she wanted to snatch the idiot down.
“Your in my tree,” she responded instead. He looked confused.
“Yeah? Well, you never answered my question." Why, the cocky bastard.
“You should introduce yourself, before asking who I am.”
He frowned scratching his head a moment, thinking. Finally, he sighed and gestured he forward. She did so, albeit it warily and confused. He grinned at this and cocked his head to the side, his hair burshing against her cheek. She stiffened and he smiled on.
“Hikaru.”
She was about to ask what in the hell kind of name was that, and she snorted instead opting for introducing herself. She sighed, closing her eyes. And when she opened them? He was sauntering down the hill. She couldn’t help but give a small smile. She called after him, watching as he turned his head to look at her.
“My names Akari!”His reply startled her, though.
“I know!”
